so me battery is still playin up on the disco

if i put it on charge it says fully charged within 5 mins, put it on disco and theres not enough charge to start it and i have to use jump leads, once started it will be fine all day

leave overnight and nxt day flat as a witches tit

local car spares place put in on some machine which gave a print out saying 100% charge battery health 65% replace battery

what causes a battery to be 100% charged but in poor health?
is there anything i can do with it,or should i stop being a tight git and just get a new battery:)

100% charge is probably from the voltage off it
65% health is probably from the internal resistance

Bad internal resistance makes batteries drop off and die as soon as a decent load is connected....

this is what I've found at work with telecoms batteries anyway

some people have had results with epsom salts?

nooo, not to make you dump, but to desulphate the cells within a battery.

have a looky on tinternet for desulphating a clogged up battery..

I got "some" improvement on an old battery last year,
but changed for 2 much better condition mondeo doosel batteries connected as 12 volts.

being realistic though,
new battery sorts your problem wiltshire landyman.

you,ll never get anything better than a lead/acid battery

lots of alternatives on the market, but still the lead acid is the fav and produced.

Li-ion Bike batteries are slowly gaining popularity due to better rating Vs size... They are hideously expensive though...

IIRC £100 Vs £20 for a Lead Acid!
