Due to me having a battery drain from something somewhere in the truck after investigating still no luck so have decided that I'm going to fit a battery isolator switch. I don't have central locking or a key fob but have an immobiliser what my question is is that I know the immobiliser won't work but when I turn her back on and give power to the truck will it make my immobiliser play stupid.

If so does anyone have any idea on how I find this very slow power drain it takes 2 weeks and the battery is flat enough not to start 30 sec on boost and it starts

Try removing the fuses and see what happens. Then if all ok, start replacing them a couple at a time, long drawn out affair but may pinpoint what circuit is drawing the current.

Take earth off battery and put multimeter from earth lead to ground.

It should show a power drain however slight.

remove fuses/relays one by one until the drain stops

did this on an old pug and it was the headlamp relay

Surely you would only need to remove fusses the are on a live permanent supply and not switched, which there are few, such as lighting plus circuits which are live via ignition switched.

In theory yes, but if there's a faulty relay then it could be stuck drawing current even though the ignition is off?

How do u know u don't have central locking? It's part of your vehicles security ECU, immobiliser, alarm and central locking.

So how many milliamps do u have draining from your battery in its quiescent state and what is the batteries voltage after two weeks??

Have u checked the usual suspect "earths"?
