hi all just had to put new battery on my 02 tda red lead nut undone ok but could not undo black lead nut was well tight and the lamp just pullled off woth out undoing nut so it was not very tight at all and now i can not tighten it up it the clamp just seems to be sitting on the battery post and can spin it around how can i tighten the clamp up nut wont move either way many thanks
 
Had this problem with my Freelander, u can try removing the bolt and gently prising the clamp apart a little then filing or cutting a bit of the inside away (on the flat surface where the bolt goes), thus making it smaller and therefore tighter around the (worn) battery post. Its very soft metal, lead I presume. You basically need to make the clamp as small as the battery post, ensuring a good tight fit.
 
yea never thought of that are they all standard size jus new clamp on t had a look at mine and it is ccrimped one end so dont think i can put a
