Drove Batford Ford today with a mate, only to confronted by the Police and 2 angry residents. 2 Land Rovers had earlier driven the Ford repeatedly, plus driven along the river downstream on private land. They went a fair way downstream and were only halted by a fallen tree. This woman has fishing right on the river. She was going ballistic.
The Police thought initially we were the same 2 as earlier. We weren't.
The 2 guys were obviously using the Ford & River to wash their vehicles.
The 2 of them had been to Devils Pit today, a dead give away by the lumps of Pit mud that I'd recognise anywhere. I told the Police where they had been today, from the mud.
The woman resident whose land (river) they were driving in, had taken their registration numbers and reported them to the Police. She will also be reporting them to the Waterways Agency.
All I can say is good.
These sort of guys give us a terrible name.
They're used a river as a carwash, so the river authority will have them for polluting the river.
They've deviated from the public highway, so the Police will have them.
Their reg numbers will have been logged at Devils Pit, so they're hopefully banged to rights.
