thats my range rover,,, love it when it works,, but hate it now,, just cant get the bloody thing right,,, only plays up when cold or at high revs,, checked and rechecked everything...

would computor have to be reset after head gaskets being done ? only unpluged the bare minimum of connectors..




time to go to the main dealer now any one got any idea what they charge to put it on computer ??

need to get it sorted got to go to london in 2 weeks for daughters wedding !!!

I have asked once at the dealers and they just having people for an idiot! I was told, that it will take 1-1,5 hours to do the test and they charge that much labour for it..
That is somewhere around £150....

is there no other option than main dealer?i steer well clear of both that are near me but then there is good indies here.

Rob, It may be a bit of a trip for you, but I would speak to Eightinavee. He is based in Bath, and is widely acknowledged as the lord of all that is Rover V8. He is a realy helpfull guy and realy went out of his way to help me diagnose my missfire.

thanks rewmer i'll pm him and see what he says, going to bath in a week or so but dont know if the thing will make it that far,,,,,, but theres always the rac lol

Stuart armson will also sort it for you and he is cheap considering he always gets it done no fuss!

Disconnnecting the battery reset my gems system, if you have faults have you checked the throttle position sensor, and air flow meter?
