Plenty work ahead, but I enjoy it. Gotta get it shifted first. Been off the road since 2000

Anyhoo, names Brads, will be in and out for updates and questions.

Bulkheed looks fine actually.

Apparently the guy drilled and waxoyled the chassis as well, It seems pretty sound as well.
2 1/4 petrol with a superwinch overdrive.
Panels are all pretty straight, interior is a war zone, wheels are awful (standard included)
Front panel and valance included as those are shot.
New exhaust included along with a diesel interior heater :)

Should be fun. Cannae wait to get started.

And so it begins.

Managed to find a standard steering wheel for a tenner. Couple of tiny cracks but once filled and painted it should be perfect.

Anyone any recommendations for types of paint to use ?

Will do.

First story will likely be about how the hell I`m getting it out.! It`s at the end of a very tight lane so a trailer might be out for the first part of it`s journey.

Another question.
Why the different rear light configuration.? Not seen a S3 with this set up before.
Only appears to have been on 1984 models, so maybe a runout version ?

Did some googling.
The very last of the series 3`s used defender cappings on the rear tub.

Makes mine a bit of an oddity, which is nice.

Picked the Series 3 up today.

First movement in 18 yrs
