Just a quick post to introduce myself.
Bought a Disco about a month ago and proceeded to drive 2000 miles after a very quick service - big risk, I know, but the trip was great. Ironically, the battery died 2 days after we arrived...
My wife never liked 4x4´s, my kids weren´t big fans either. I´ve always been a closet Disco II lover but never owned one.
After 4 days on the road and a wonderfully comfortable trip, my wife has been converted and my kids can´t stop talking about it.
Granted, there are a few things wrong with it, but slowly I´ll put them right.
I haven´t felt emotionally attached to a car since owning a few Alfa Romeo (particularly the GTV 3.0 V6). Sold a VW Jetta to get the Disco and that old feeling is back. Every time I park the Disco, I always have to look back one more time.
Just moved to York too, so the Disco feels right at home.
Looking forward to being part of this great community.
