So someone comes to Scotland for a whole month and is now an expert on all Discos up here. I wonder if he bought a BMW to take home.

Well that could be true fine however BMWs seem to have an issue with rain in and snow....they crash 💥

Ahem, well my Citroen has never given one moments trouble in 55,000kms & 3yrs, hasn't rusted to pieces, doesn't leak any fluids at all, and does 55mpg.

And yes, the electric windows and central locking all work as they should.

when you getting another land rover big lad

The thing is I no longer need one, but comfort and parts prices plus being easy to work on, make them very tempting.

We already have 2 cars and my bike in the family, but you just never know. If someone wants to sell me their 2004 TD5 ES manual for £1000 I'll have it !!!!

Hi
I have had Disco 2 TD5 for the last three years, bought and ran in Aberdeenshire (that's Scotland). Had a Disco 300 for five years before that. Have to thank these motors for my ability to weld!! Yet, you have to have LR in your blood. Great fun and all round challenge. Can't wait for my Defender, next buy.
I've lived here for 13 years, 10yrs in Sussex and 45 yrs in Yorkshire before that. In my experience LR's that are not undersealed rot where ever you are. Note: shame LR don't spend a bit more on WaxOil, before they sell their motors.
Happy Disco'ing....

They rusted the most in the soilhull factory lol

I reckon this thread was a cunning plan to allow the OP to up his posts quickly to 50, to allow him to sell his 'rust' bucket to some unsuspecting Scottish bloke!:D:D

I feel bad now I got my disco2 down south over 6 years ago But was nothing to do with RUST at that time TD5`S were cheaper down south than up here in Scotland & as I`m a tight arse scot {with money anyway } was not gonna pay what they were going for up here BUT I will say I would buy a disco 1 2 3 4 from SCOTLAND if the price is wright

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1397588804.197353.jpg. Here is a typical sh*t Scottish land rover, the chassis matches the top side and it's 10 years old!!

Firstly no offence was implied when I wrote this.. all you Scottys need to keep your dresses on! At least if Scotland go independent we wont have the likes of George Galloway shouting his opinions out, What a Wan*** he can leave um where he found them! You all must be related...

Anyway the guy who said he got his disco from Scotland and the chassis mint he was a lucky man!

Not saying they don't rust in Devon, did I say that? no..

Its not the salt in the air as such in Scotland its what's thrown all over the roads in the winters...

what an ***hole :violent:
