If anyone wants the plastic wing tank give me a shout.

It is highly likely that we will have one with us at the Billing show so if you want to see one in the 'flesh' so to speak. In comparison to the metal ones it is fairly light. The plastic is apparently the same as that used by LR for their current fuel tanks.

Brenden,

Can you tell me a little more about it? Is it designed like the 110 wing tanks in that it supplements/gravity feeds the rear TD5 tank?

You mentioned big wheels, do you think 255/85s on a 2" lift would be ok?

G

Hi G,
To the best of my knowledge it gravity feeds into the main fuel tank of a 90

Will 255/85 catch on it? Am not sure but it does have a metal support tray/guard

On our red 110 we run it on 255/85 BFG with the 48 litre wing tank. On full upwards articulation there appears to be some scuffing of the wing tank. I do not know if that is the actual tyre rubber touching the tank or whether it is mud/stones on tyre catching the wing tank.

Next time I am in SE I will ask Adrian about the plastic 90 wing tank.

Are you intending to go to Billing then G?

hmmm... maybe my 110 litres is enough for my needs right now.

Prob not going to Billing this year, its too much fuel. got to cut costs now Bren as were saving for Australia. I only made it last year because Wiget was so kind to give me a lift :D If he is going again this year I will see if I can blag it again and will be sure to come see yourself and Barb. :)

Are you on about the 48 litre wing tank for the 110?

I'm not going to billing but I am after a wing tank if the price is right.
