Autobox problem

Fixed one problem and another rears it's ugly head

I have no drive from my auto box. Nothing happens if I put it into any gear. If I put it into park I get a sort of clicking noise as I select it, it stops as soon as it is in park. I have checked the atf after going through the gears with engine idling and the level is fine. Fluid is nice and red.

I have just replaced the starter motor, is there anything near that I may have knocked or dislodged which would cause this. It was perfectly alright when i drove it last.

What do I check next?

have a look through plate in bottom to see if t/c is turning

just check cable is clamped to mount securely and lever on box side ,may need somone to work selector while you watch

Daft question, but you've not knocked the transfer box into neutral have you?

And if I find the idiot who didn't put the lever back properly there will be serious trouble.

you aint alone made the same error felt a right numpty but it dont half make you panic
