Anybody with a D3 and has rev fluctuations and/or juddering should get a megaflush done. I had mine done by Gordon at 4-tech today and WHAT a difference!!!!! Highly recommended! !!!!!

Just a bog standard fluid change via the cooler pipes is it not which has been around for years.

Exactly, it is by no means new tech, but it does, or at least did to me, illustrate the current throw away trend of 150,000mile service interval  and shows how this method is much more suited to new cars and owners who have no experience or interest in getting covered in ATF swapping out the fluids.

For any prospective owner I would do this and use the cost of it as a tool to a) get the price down and b) get the tranny into a serviceable state where vital fluids are there to do the job.

I first saw a similar machine, which was a bit more up market than the one in the link, used for changing auto fluid at my LR dealers service department when my disco went in for its services so hardly new, and it's not much use when a D1s screen filter requires replacement at the same time, but when used at least the machine does insure 100% fluid replacement in one go on auto vehicles equipped with torque converter so maybe it's has been used on my disco.

New vehicles owners wouldn't want to change the fluid themselves anyway even if the could, it would invalidate their vehicles warranty.

Even now you wouldn't get me changing the fluid and filter on my disco, the crossmember and exhaust has to be dropped even before the gearbox sump can be removed.
Both times its been done I payed some one to do it :D
