Hi all, just popped over from the other side to see if someone can help.
My mates '02 td5 auto is not displaying anything on the dash when in drive?
When any other gears are selected the display shows correctly which gear it is in,but in drive the dash is blank, although if you move the selector back a little the display will change to D,but you have to pull it slightly outside it's natural resting place ,and if held there the gearbox is unhappy and the cogs start flashing after a couple of seconds.
The car drives fine in drive ,but as i say ,no display.
Hope someone can help
Thanks in advance
Ed

Am I missing out on lights here? Mine is a 2002 auto and I have never had lights on the dash?? Got em next to the shift on the center cosul:confused:

It's not a light it's in the LCD screen at the bottom. Mine's a bit like that as well - I have to push the gearlever hard forward in P otherwise it won't start. I wee it as an additional theft deterrent.....

Cheers guys, how do i get to the switch?
I noticed that if you hold it slightly to the right it's fine, and on a right hand corner it goes off,but if you just nudge it to the right ,not even enough to see it move,it comes back on .
So the xyz adjustment sounds like good place to start.
Just need to find it

Unless you have and Alinement tool. It's really a 2 person job . One to adjust and one in cab moving the stick and looking at the dash
