That's a very bright lairy green. It's cool but I wouldn't paint mine in that.

I'd go for "look at me" fluorescent orange!

I am thinking of repainting parts of mine. Mainly the roof and bonnet because both are shagged. Maybe turn the roof bars blue or green in the process :)

Haha, i think this is growing one me! You're taking you're time though pal!!

Bank holiday weekend surely is enough time to paint a whole car?!

Anyone else think the primer grey looked cool too? :p

Yeah I liked the grey. I've always been tempted to have a battleship grey disco, but im sticking with black.

Looking really good, will be interested to see the finish once it is wet flatted and polished.

Can you post up some close up shots when you have got to that stage.

Are you still following the two roller technique? Any additional tips to get a good finish?

Liking the green too:D

like the scoop, I thought about fitting one facing the windscreen though, may help with defrosting the windscreen. but then any oily deposits might get thrown up too. Then I thought about doing what you've done. Concerned myself with water getting up through the vent and onto the v8. Then realised if water is that high, it should be the last of my worries!!!

looking good....so far.

wow, just spent the last couple of hours absorbing this thread.

you have done a fantastic job up to now and good on you for having a bash at some of the tasks.

if mine turned out half as good as this i would be overjoyed!!!

plenty of very useful tips picked up along the way too ;);)

I'm not sure how effective it would be - in the same way I don't know how effective it is at cooling mine. I just like the look of it.

I use a Heat Shot to clear the screen and one day I'll get round to wiring up my heated front screen.

Fine praise - thank you. I do have a very understanding wife.

Fixed the window ECU - been without rear windows for far too long. The recent hot weather meant that my daughter was getting too hot when sitting in the back.

It was a text book cracked joint. Removed, cleaned soldered and refitted. One hour door to door. The worst bit was the amount of extra wiring I'd put in front of the ECU.
