I see on that page there is a link to check the tax status on rented vehicles too. Seeing as it is always the drivers responsibility, as well as the owners, to make sure the vehicle is legal, I can imagine a lot of people are going to be caught out here driving other peoples vehicles with no "easy" way of checking to see if they are taxed. We need an official DVLA app!

Brilliant thread just found it, its like a good book you cant put it down, some really great ideas as well.

Maybe.

What sort of clunk?

Suspension clunk ie ball joint/bush or driveline clunk ie transmission backlash?

Well, a clunky sort of clunk!

It sounds OSF wheelish.

Doesn't sound/feel like transmission/driveline. It seems to happen at slower speeds when I turn right - weight transmission related? Sometimes when pulling away/stopping.

Bushes seem okay - orange Polybush. I do have some new blue Polybush to go on at some point.

When I had me bearing go a few weeks ago, I posted a video of the disc moving within the pads as I wobbled the wheel, you could hear it slapping! Again, I've got movement but nowhere near as much.

New wheel bearings often need retightening soon after fitting when they bed in.

Usually pretty simple to diagnose faults by wobbling and levering.

Can't see a wheel bearing giving a clunk though to be honest...

Problem is, who can check it for you?! :behindsofa:
