Well, dextron is not a correct application for the 6HP26. It is a multigrade. The 6HP fluid is a straight grade and the very best option is LF6 from ZF.

Other compatible fluids are available, Ravenol make a straight 6HP fluid, as well as Febi. Both are available, but neither are recommended by ZF.

The Febi fluid, seems exact in colour and density/viscosity cold to the original ZF fluid.

thank u and hands up the questions was a leading one , sorry for that but had to ask as so many so called specialist claim all sorts of things

seen so many people use dexron and said goodnight to there gearboxes

indeed i use mannol ag55 , must admit i’ve never been favourable of power flush machines , know u can’t get all of the ATF oil out due to the torque converter , done 2 x changes with 500 mike intervals

diagnostics i use a gap iid for the adaptive settings and software updates of the zf and transfer

I always use Mobil in the powershift box on my Mondeo, but only because they are the only people who make the special fluid, or at least the best price of those that do.

You don't need a machine to change it either. Ford use a proper transmission. :) Made by Aisin, none of yer ZF rubbish.

You will get me banned!!

Fluid is discussed all of the time. And, Exchanging Machines are not liked by ZF, even though we stick up for their fluid quite a bit.

I flush Powershifts all the time. Powershift is made by Getrag. See you've learnt something in just one thread Turbo

lol, indeed ref atf oil and it being discussed , inc resetting adaptions
