looks to me like it goes into that spigot that is taped over on the diff housing,

Unless thats the fill hole... but i dont think it is.

doh, beaten to it.

Could someone explain an air locker and benefits? Saw one on diff lock stand but figured Landy ones were fine

The advantage of Air Locker lies in the pneumatically operated locking system inside the differential. When activated, the Air Locker prevents the differential gears from rotating and therefore prevents the axle shafts from turning independently of each other. With both wheels tied directly to the rotation of the ring gear the vehicle maintains maximum possible traction at all times. When unlocked, it operates just like conventional "open" differentials.
In addition to providing outright improvements to a 4x4’s off road capabilities, the Air Locker offers significant environmental benefits. When approaching difficult terrain, less reliance is put on momentum. An Air Locker equipped truck can be driven in a slower, safer and more controlled manner as a result of vastly improved traction. This style of driving greatly reduces the likelihood of incurring vehicle damage and lessens the environmental impact as well

Have a look at ashcroft site and you will see what a pinned ring gear is. In short is 2 bolts with bronze plate that keeps your ring gear from flexing when you hammer it causing the pinion gear from climbing the ring gear and blowing your diff. With the amount you just spent, it is well worth it.

Ashcroft Transmissions - Diff Pegging

Here it is have a look

oh Pegging, no dint have the extra cash for that  yes i know it makes um stronger, so my be a mod for next year. i want the front diff for xmas

Although dont tell me your ever going to use that powder extinguisher in your cab??? Have you seen the fooking mess they make?

If it was me id try smothering it with my beard. It would be quicker to grow a new beard than clean that **** out of the car! :D

New locker looks nice mate, did crown set all the backlash and everything aswell or just throw it in a case and send it?

:)

It's not noisy, when you turn the compressor on it takes 10 seconds fills up, lock diff, tops up yhe tank. When diff is locked it holds for 15 mins till it tops up again :D
