This videotape shows Russian Navy commandos on a Somalian pirate ship shortly after the pirates had captured a Russian oil tanker. The Euro Union navy that patrols these waters would not interfere because they feared there could be casualties.
All explanations are in Russian with a single exception of when a wounded pirate says something in English and the Russian soldier says "This is not a fishing boat.". All conversations between the commandos are in Russian. If you don't understand Russian, the pictures speak for themselves.
The soldiers freed their compatriots and the tanker. The Russian Navy Commandos moved the pirates back to their own (pirate) ship, searched the pirate ship for weapons and explosives, and then they left the ship and exploded it with all remaining pirates hand-cuffed to it.
The commandos sank the pirate ship along with the pirates and without any court proceedings, lawyers etc. That is, they used the anti-piracy laws of the 18th and 19th centuries where the captain of the rescuing ship has the right to decide what to do with the pirates. Usually, they were hung.

I would think from now on, Russian ships will not be targets for Somalian pirates.



HONESTLY ...............Yer really got hand it to Mr Putin ....He does "Get things Delt with" in a highly efficient manner

Maybe shooting a few illegals at Dover would have the same effect.
 
not sure there was any evidence of the pirates being on it when it was blown up but I think its a good principle :p

I worked on Black Hawk Down (it was filmed entirely in Morocco) that's what i do work in films.... well when there is work.. its mostly dead now, not a lot left to do (sadly)
 
Love the geezer pumping claret all over the deck. No one offered him so much as a band-aid. ha!
Sort of no nonsense treatment these nonces need if you ask me. Putin would get my vote! ;o)
 
That's my kind of justice - Zero tolerance, the only answer to this (& a few other) types of crime. Good on the Ruski's, at least THEY have a full set of balls.
 
Beats the British way any day of the week, allowing our own to be captured for nearly 12months and paying massive ransoms allowing the pirates to equip themselves further, we are meant to have the best in the world in the form of the S.A.S / S.B.S - pretty pointless if nobody has the balls to send them to work!
 
Putin for PM I say, could you imagine what the wooly liberal left has to say and as for the european court of everybody elses rights. If things were dealt with in this way it would save a lot of bloodshed in the long run, thank god some people still have balls.
