Can you get at it with the wheel off and put it on a stand

No, it's above the plate where the top of the bag rests. A real bugger to get at!! If I can get under and take a photo I'll show where it's gone. Could be that elusive exhaust leak I've been chasing (sight misfire) which has melted it. No other heat source.... So, two fixes now

Erm...oops! A hole in top of the pipe blowing up towards the pipe leading to the air tank! Except, now it's a totally disconnected back box as I may have v pulled too hard and it may have crumbled... a bit :D At least I found the cause :p I'm exhausted

I have a hoist @Doo, it's a 2 poster, if you get no joy from your m8 maybe I can help, I'm only 15 minutes from Sneckie. I've got my own bagosheizen on it at the mo with blocked PCV drain port in the sump but I'd gladly push it off for a few hours if it would help you out. PM me if you need to crack on. ;)
I have plenty tools, tea n bics and ye can call me faaaannnnyyyy to my face!
I'll even be your right hand or left hand man, not sure which you are poorly with:)

Might be usfull for the back box

I wouldn't bother trying to remove the old melted pipe but just replace the whole length

That's what I figured. Maybe route it well away from hot exhausty bits an orl :p

Can I use 8mm fuel pipe (kinda copper and whatever)?? I could use it for the long runs and bendy parts, then quick release joints to attach the placcy bits.

Mr L322, thank you for the kind offer, but I also need new back boxes so I'll have to wait a day or two. Going to get big Ian to get them through his account with Euro or I'll end up paying triple price

Which direction you live anyhoo? up down or sideways? :D

STOP!

DON'T PANIC :D

Found the leak (now I need a pint.... Of whiskey

I have actual tears of pain and a bit of joy at finding it. It's not where you'd think, oh no! It's in behind the left rear wheel and it looks almost melted as if by a candle

Can't get hold of my mate, big Ian, to ask if I could borrow his ramp tomorrow so I'm going to be in k'in bits crawling under, but by George I'll feckin do it if it's the last thing I do

Chuffed to bits though as it's an easy fix. Some new pipe and a connection or two

Hole in exhaust?
