Ignore Data ..He in France & is missin his Fish & Chips ....

The answer is NO they aint THAT BAD ...trouble is (in the main) with forums such as ours you only get the "oh **** its gone wrong" posts

People seeking advise ect ect when its running OK then you never hear about it ..it the very same with ALL cars I (now) have a Saab 9-3 it the same on there post after post bout thing goin TITS UP & NO POSTS saying WOOO HOOO its runing like a dream.

YES of course RR P38's have problems but so do ALL cars ...I aint never in 40 years of drivin had a car that NEVER broke down on me .....

Wait I tell a lie .. I had a "Mike Mercury" Supercar Peddle car when I was 6 that was great (Til me dad ran over it with his Standard 8!!)

Apart from a few niggles my DHSE has been fine for 19 months and 11,000 miles. You will need to budget to change the air suspension bags before they fail and give you grief.

Data are you feelin poorly mate ???? you postred back & never mentioned my DIG at you ref the Fish & Chips mate .....

Too much sun over there me thinks its Poachin yer brain !!!:D:D:D:D:D

Too much of the white ****e that is supposed to stay up there with you northerners, it's frozen my brain, whats left of it:eek: Oh we have proper English fish n chips cooked by Brits in a mobile chippy:D:D:D

The previous owner was kind enough to put it in Land Rover for a service in June, new airbags, discs and pads all round and other bits n bobs

Sounds like you got a looked after car then!

As above, I'm sure you only here of the problems on forums like this (or any other). One thing though - they were a £40k new, so still have £40k car running costs to an extent. Having said that, loads of Indy's around who charge much less than a main stealer, just go to one recommended by people on here!

just keep it well maintained,if you are good with spanners, you'll be fine, try and keep on top of it and it will serve you well, same as any car keep it maintained and you have done all you can.
do not buy cheap oil,or cheap antifreeze, brakefluid check service intervals and stick to them.
