I've just bought an AP200 and 2 remotes.
The AP200 software "performs" programming the keys, and I've seen the YT video of it doing it successfully, but it failed to program the remotes I got on my 2010 F2.
Kept coming up with errors on the new keys, including that it thought they were already programmed to another car.
I was concerned about getting knock offs or stuff coded into them so they are region based (IP address etc).Hi mate
Hope u don’t mind me asking but did u get urs from an Autel website or Amazon etc plse
Many thks
I was concerned about getting knock offs or stuff coded into them so they are region based (IP address etc).
So I went onto the Autel NZ website and they had a list of authorised distributors and I got it from 1 of them. Paid $ more than through a non-authorised reseller.
I got remotes from Ali, but ones recommended to work from a post on that reliable font of all knowledge. Forget what it's called. Oh yeh... landyzone.co.uk
Yeh, same 433hz.Sorry to hear that about the keys , must confess got my Autel from Amazon and my keys off eBay , are urs also 433 hz like they are here in the Uk plse
Think I paid £30 for my fob , £10 to have the blank cut and worked fine, useto be a company in Southampton but alas no longer on eBay
Hope u get it resolved
My Gap has gone wrong. It seems to be stuck in an updated loop. If it starts working again, I'll be selling it on as it's basically worthless for the FL2.My Gap does not reprogram fobs, I contacted the makers who told me they are doing an update, still waiting four years later.
My AP 200 the white one does the reprogramming of the fobs.
Grumpy does your AP 200 even show the fob programming section
Yes, and it goes through the process of inserting a valid programmed key first, but when you get to inserting the new one it says, and I may not have the exact wording here, "Process F**ked Up".My Gap does not reprogram fobs, I contacted the makers who told me they are doing an update, still waiting four years later.

Did you use an auxiliary power supply on the battery? Those are pretty much essential or programming can fail. SDD won't even start programming functions unless the battery is well above 12.5V at the start of the operation.Yes, and it goes through the process of inserting a valid programmed key first, but when you get to inserting the new one it says, and I may not have the exact wording here, "Process F**ked Up".
I'm not sure what is going on to be honest, some times it would dock a new blank key (I was trying with 2), other times it will spit it out.
I tried quite a few times in one 'session". I really need to have another go.

Myself, I would have one of those expensive auto locksmiths, but cheaper than a dealer, see if they can do anything with your new fobs. or at least first try a hard reset as a straw clutching exercise.Yes, and it goes through the process of inserting a valid programmed key first, but when you get to inserting the new one it says, and I may not have the exact wording here, "Process F**ked Up".

Well, its a funny old game.
I dunno why it would be any different, but I had another go at programming the new keys today. Thought I'd simplify it and just add 1 new key to the existing 1.
And guess what.....
Da darrrrr...
It failed, just like last time.
Buggerrit.
Wouldn't finish the process, failed messages including "key already programmed to another car" which I got last time, exactly the same. And like last time the process didn't finish and couldn't be cancelled, so had to kill the app.
It was worth a go.
Well, actually it wasn't!
So, got out of the car, went to lock it. Pause. I wonder? Hit the Lock button on the new fob.....
and....
Da darrrrr...
The car locked!
Well I'll be f**ked!
Hit the unlock button.... and it unlocked.
Got in, pushed the new key into the slot... and it docked.
Pushed the Start button and it fired into life.
So although the AP200 software was telling me there were errors, and although it never completed the process. It had programmed the key to the car.
I dunno if it had been programmed last time, I assume not - but maybe it has. I'll have to try the other key I tried with as well last time and see if that works.

Interesting that there seem to be different AP 200 models.
I'm wondering if there are clones of the Ap 200 about, which have different functions. If they can't code injectors or carry out service routines like air path calibrations or other new component calibrations they're pretty useless IMO.Hi mate
Was also surprised with ref to different software , seems that some show 10 x service functions and others 25
Also see that some won’t work on iPads and only on phones
From what I’ve read the Amazon one seems to be the one that works the best for multiple functions
Sorry to hear about the gap iid , hopefully they can send u a software update to get it working again
