Anything To Worry About?

Hi

I am off to view my dream veichle on Saturday...My question is should I be worried about anything, I have read all the usual reviews and nothing there to raise any alarm bells. I'm looking to purchase an 11 plate Range Rover 4.4 TDV8. My father owned a Range Rover in the 90s and its off road ability is etched firmly in my mind. Should I be concerned or asking any specific questions before I take the leap? Thankyou in advance for any posotive comments and guidance it will be much appreciated

Check everything works, suspension, sun roof, aircon, mirrors, every button you can find.
MOT history is a good indication of preventitive maintenance.
Unless you have plenty of disposible income a RR fund is advisable.

Is this positive comments and positive guidance, or positive comments and any guidance, positive or negative.
Just don't want to say RR ownership is all positive then when you get your first big repair bill it's our fault for not telling you that they occasionally break.

Keep £3K to one side for fixing it and buy diagnostics from Blackbox Solutions, you are likely to need them.

make sure its got more than one key so you have one for the recovery driver and one to show the misses where the moneys gone

3k budget for repairs
Diagnostic tool to save you £70/hour every time a fault pings up

If it's from a dealer try and get a warranty

I very much doubt it. I do hope he buys one then we can show him what witty pricks we really can be when it goes wrong.

Have a read of some of the threads on here this is all normal banter its the way we roll on here but in-between the mickey taking you will get good answers, you are luck if a thread can stay on track for more than one page

Being positive is absolutely essential for any owner of a Range Rover outside its warranty period. We all go around wearing rose-tinted specs. You'd better have a sense of humour once you've got one and you've spent a decent amount of your wage packet and free time trying to keep it going. And despite it all we keep driving them: you cannot get more positive than that.
