On the M5 to Worcester for work on wednesday i had a Land Rover pass me wearing full stripey DON'T LOOK AT ME livery and the only detail i could make out were the tiny square brake lights at the back.
I only saw it for a second as i was in lane one, it in lane three and a lorry got between us in lane two

They're devolving stuff all the time. Not necessarily a new vehicle to add to the line. They tend to develop stuff like brakes and transmission etc all the time. When a new vehicle is due or a current one needs a makeover, it gets the latest technology at the time if it's suitable. You will see current shape black/white disguised models. They with either be testing technology or hiding something new. Since the media has gone mad spotting these vehicles LR seems to be having fun by covering more vehicles with the same camouflage.

Have they rebooted the forward control yet?

Probably have a few pages of 101 FC chassis numbers and plan on a continuation series, ala Lightweight E-Types, Aston DB5's, Aston DG4GT Zagato's et al. Limited run of 10-20 and a £200k+ price tag!! There are many who'd buy these...

eta: I remember when Jaguar built the nine 'spare' chassis XKSS'. This is my dream car...but £1M a time would have me on bread & dripping for the next 30 years !

It will be testing the new flashing light hidden but only seen at night driving. When flashing majority will not have a clue even the designers. So adding another query to the forums to ponder.

One of mine too, but didn't Jaguar 'torch' them all?

Yeah, that would be funny, thinking of the people taking pics at the 'new' model.
In all seriousness, i think the extreme stripeyness looks very cool!

Could it be the baby Defender which was supposed to be coming?

I've read some articles on this possible new model with a 1.5 litre 3 cylinder engine. I'm guessing a turbo charged unit of similar car size to an Evoque. Where/how JLR thinks this fits into already beyond saturated market sectors is anyone's guess

It’s bigger than an evoque.

I wish i'd have had a longer look at it but i was in lane 1 approaching an artic in lane 2 and the Landy was in lane 3 overtaking the lorry. I first thought it was a Discovery or Range Rover. Initially i thought the brake lights had been mostly covered to disguise the shape. It occurred to me afterwards that maybe it was a Defender because they have small square brake lights?
Previous to this, the last stripy car i saw was an Aston Martin DB10. It pulled out of a side road as i slowed to turn into it. The driver have it some welly pulling away and i had to adjust my trousers! :D
About two weeks later i saw a silver one filling up at a petrol station.
