Could it have been the new 130?

Not seen that 1 about.
Have seen a few ineos motors this week around London M25

It's just a a big Freelander. Good to see they're keeping the tradition of independent suspension. Freelander's rule. :D

You cant beat a nice classic, the new ones are just how many useless bit of tech can we put in exercise:(

Only useless if the owners don’t use it, which I appreciate most don’t. The tech is good just never really used for what they’re designed for.

Saw another disco type camo motor on Wednesday just coming off the m50 going up to m5 Birmingham. The camo covers the lights/windows & makes it hard to see in the rain.

The black and white they use is clever stuff. You can't see in but they can see out. Well yer could on the one i looked at.

The sad thing, i think we can all live with useless tech. The thing where LR falls down is their tech fails...
My Disco 1 had a driver's seat that only went backwards and a rear passenger window that went down and would only go up when IT felt like. Both were fixed once i'd tracked down where the little ECUs were and soldered the dry joints on the PCBs.
Then came the immobilser switching on the fuel when it felt like plus the sudden 'lets have the hazard lights on' fits it used to have. I fixed the first problem with a switch wired from the battery to the fuel shutoff solenoid and the second turned out to be water in the alarm ECU box which once dried out cured the problem.
The last issue i had was with the rear sunroof deciding to remain open and when i spotted it refused to fully close, stopping around being level but not dropping down onto the seal. I fixed that by pushing down on the glass while pressing the switch to close it.
I'd hate to have one of the newer vehicles with electric rear seats, or door handles that only spring out when you unlock the car.
I can only imagine the fun owners will have in fifteen years time when the handles fail to pop out...
