anyone managed to remove a door card without breaking the plastic studs

Had some spare time today so thought I would have a go at the door springs on my 300 tdi,rear passenger door went well and is good as new-the rear tailgate was hell and am not prepared to discuss other than planning angle grinder for phase 2-anyway ,how do people get the door card off without busting the plastic studs-they seem to just tear out the hardboard backing-prolly need a pack of 50 to sort out my door cards-pain in the arse

Could be a good sign that the card has never been removed before, the removal is usually easer the next time.
Or just use the door card removal tool and you won't break any studs, if your lucky.
