Whats gonna hurt more £100 Snorkal or a £1000 engine rebuild. If you are planning on wading then i would spend the cash. also do you have breathers for gearbox that can also be an expensive mistake. :D

i wont be doing any real serious wading, just a bit here and there.
dont really want to be cutting any panels as there all straight and shiny at the mo (touches wood).
was considering replacing the current vent with a solid replacment copy and putting the 90 degree pipe in through there. will this work?

ive been told that putting it through the vent wont work very well as the 300tdi air intake pipe is everything but air tight. is this true.
if so how difficult would it be to run a flexi hose through the intake and straight onto the air filter instead of using the standard landy intake pipe.

ideal.
hopefully the 300tdi wont take as much weavin in and out under the engine bacy :)
also where did u get all ur matierals in the end, im off to mole valley in a bit to apply for a job, do u reckon they will have the parts, or is it worth going to B&Q after.

just had a butchers under the hood, and as far as i can see it shouldnt be difficult.
would it be a bad idea to just use ducting pipe from the 90 degree bend into the vent to the air filter? or would it be not suitable.
also is there a particular kind of ducting pipe that i should use, reinforced maybe?

oh, if yer wanna make yer intake properly waterproof, you'll need to do sommat about the stupid rubber tit that's supposed to be a one-way drain on the bottom of the air box. I replaced mine with a 1/2" fuel system one-way valve.

do u think trago will also have the ducting pipe? they seem to have everything else :)
think i can canabalize the jubilees off the curent air intake, as well as buying a few more.
