thanks for replys, Where should it be then cause it dont seem to be doing anything just lying there, amongst the wiring

What does it do and do i need to attach it to something!

Here I Googled this for u Inside the Rotary Coupler

But to answer you original question it's the 'exciter ring' for use with the immobiliser coil-engine-immobiliser is what LR call it, it goes around the ignition switch. NOT a rotary coupler.

Anyone know what this is??
