Had great fun this year...perhaps because I had my own landie to take with me this time.
The off road was about right for me as a newbie to off-roading (well, other than desert/mountains etc)...started on the yellow route and as got more confidence in myself and the Series 2A moved onto doing the red route. The Marshalls were spot on too, giving out (to what seemed to me) like good tips, although they seemed intent on making me go through stuff which we both knew would get me stuck! I think they enjoy recovering people tbh! I refused the countless offers of the black route though, I am not that daft!
Went round in my mates Disco too (stadnard, road tyres) was quite suprised how easy it made everything look..with all the techo gadgetry it went through the muddy bits way way easier than my Series...the only downfall of the disco being it grounded out a bit easier on the bits with peaks.
There wasn't much mud, was pretty dry by all accounts, but tried my best to find it!
My Series looks like a toy parked next to parents RRC...again the RR made it all look rather easy round the off road but tbh. Couldn't convince them to take it through the mud run though...maybe next year!
Got all of about 5 foot into the mud run....oh dear (have to admit, did make it going the right way round)
This was quite a beast, made a nice sound too
Other pics...
Showing off with his winch...
And oops, a little too far!
A Land Rover under there somewhere!
