As a query how difficult is it to replace engine to gearbox seal as it appears I have leaks around the engine sump and gearbox to engine.

HI doing all the upgrades work on my D2 and have it up on stands wheels off with hubs, brakes, brake lines, exhaust manifold, turbo, intercooler, raciator, electric revotec fan, and new stainless exhaust. My question revolves around oil leaks, as it was available to me i cleaned under the car with degreaser and discovered it appeared to have a leak around the engine sump but also around the engine to gearbox. What sort of job is it to replace this?

Hi, it's a gearbox out job in which case you better replace both the crankshaft seal and gearbox input seal... once the box is out it's not so hard

ok thanks for that more hours of fun to come then as i presume transfer box out as well to allow gearbox out?

Its a b'stard to get in an out with the transfer box, connected to the gearbox... very heavy. If you are taking the boxes out, make sure you replace the o rings both ends of the intermediate shaft of the transfer box. Watch Mikes videos on Youtubes Britannic Restorations...
