hummmm I brought another rangie off ebay the other week.. bargin i thought just needin head gaskets, but now ive done them I need to find an Ignition ECU off a thor engine.. Looked on Ebay and no joy been to my breakers in nottingham and they dont have one... Kinda Screwed without it as the cars now not running much the frustration of the Mrs.. Again..

Im also thinking about putting it back on airsprings instead of the steel it has been converted to... Ive got all the parts required but has anyone done it? it says eas manual on the dash at the min and there are no lights on the buttoon, im thinking it would just be a case of having the ecu turned bk on with a diagnostic machine.. has anyone done this?

You'd think id learn by now.... but  lol

when i was going to convert to springs the kit came with a black box to get over the limp home , never did it,' so don't know were that's fitted but i would look for that first.

been interested in hearing how the swap back to air goes .........

Ive been looking around and for about a grand (hahahahaha) I can get hold of new bags, new valve block, new comporessor and new height sensors ........
Nothing wrong with the coils but I'm bored ..........

You will need to get to the becm to disconnect the interface box and the connections they may have removed the switch altogether and the ecu and valve block and compressor and flogged them.
You will need to get the ecus cleared and also need the engine ecu programming for the immobiliser sync

will have a look tomorrow if the eas ecu is still pluged in.. is that where you was told to plug in yours?

thanks for the number, tried to call him but no answer, so will try again tomorrow and fingers crossed. also found a place near to me that repairs ecu's so will also be calling them tomorrow.

About a grand... I take it thats all NEW??? I was asking the guy at the breakers about it yesterday and he said he would help if i had any problems, as they have sold a few full kits, from what i gathered i got the impression they charged half that. Think im going to have a play this week while its off the road with this ecu problem.. will let you know how it goes.

called joe yesterday, and all sorted, he put me one in the post so finders crossed should have it today or tomorrow.so goint to have a stab at removing the coils today. let you know how it goes
