Howdy all,

I am sick of my D2 facelift headlights condensing and filling with water, so have been searching and 'window weld' comes up as does 'Nissan Sealer' so that got me thinking what is used in the trade for sealing in front windows, as that will do the job I reckon....

So any recommendations on what to get so I can cover these headlights in it to stop them filling up?

Cheers

This is what I am up against....

Have tried that, also made drain holes, and still this.....

Hence the thought I will try and seal the buggers up completely with something else.

Just wondering because condensation is caused by warm air hitting cold air. So would refitting a breather pipe, but having it extend to the grill area etc to get a cold air feed help?

God knows with these, as I have even tried it with all the rear caps off when I last dried them out (and never got them wet in rivers either) to see if that helped, but obvioulsy not!

That's why I am wondering about having them completely sealed - almost air tight....

But the thing is, if I take them apart again, I will want to put in some of the new FXR 3.0 bi xenon projector lenses instead of just the low beam ones I have in - so its gonna cost me :(

Plus its something I don't want to do and the disco off the road for a week or so, esp if the snow is coming :D

I think after this attempt if it happens again, they will be going in the bin, and will go back to my old plan of fabricating a new front end to take some different headlights ;)

But I do like the look of these...
