My old man has a lathe will ask him tomorrow what material??
bit intricate for a 6 x 16 boss!I'm sure we can do steel would be easier alot of wasted material from one lump of brass and not cheap material. With steel you could weld the boss in and machine the weld down smooth.
My machine shop is bigger than my fab shop, I can turn parts up to 5 ton, that said I can machine parts down to horological size parts......and Im cheap![]()

the holet o be 6mm (I think) recessed on the other side to allow a 6mm csk screw head to be flush with outside ( or a slim nut).
I had thought of the brass one above with an O ring as a tyre.
The large dia is 25mm by 4mm thick. the boss is not critical to the best of my knowledge - anyhere up to about 16mm dia, i reckon.
steam or stirling?
