Another newbie

Hi people,
Due to a growing family we are now considering joining the chelsea tractor brigade , looking for either a 200 or 300 TDi disco (5 door, 7 seater) is there a buyers guide or can anyone point me in the right direction on what to look out for when viewing.
Only got a low budget (£900 MAX) as it a second car (and toy) so i know i;m not going to get a monter but if someone cantell me what to look out for at least i can have an understanding.

The biggest killer of Disco's is rust. Look everywhere thats outta sight cos thats where it'll be. Enginewise a 200 or 300tdi will return you about 25-35mpg compared to a v8's 15-20mpg.
