Another central locking question.

Ok Ive still got problems. Connected everything up as I think it goes and Im getting the actuator to push or pull , but not push and pull ! If I swap the blue and green wires over it either pushes or pulls but not both like it should. Anyone got any ideas whats going on. No abuse please

There's a fine line on the change between push & pull try adjusting the actuator on it's fixings there's is a milimerte or two to play with.

Thanks Discool but my problems have just took a turn for the worse . I can,t start the engine ! I was working on it with the battery connected and must have touched a wire to earth. What have I done now !

Blown a fuse?

Did u see the spark was it bright ? we have all done it.. and also run the battery down so it wouldn't start.

No. There's no bright sparks round here Dont know what Ive done but Im getting nothing when I turn the key. Lights are on dash and power to headlights and wipers but no ignition. Its just like it was when I had that bad earth problem that we sorted out in winter. Ive tried in park and neutral but nothing .

Perhaps you have set the immobiliser.

Mine still has the original immobiliser pen thingy on the key ring. If it was a fuse where would I check them. Under the bonnet looks ok but cant find any in drivers footwell. 94 300 tdi auto.
