A friend of mine was searching eBay the other day when he alerted me to my old land rover series 3 for sale

Item number 181245721626

It's amazing how much I miss it, even though the defender I have now is so much better suited to my needs, I would buy him back in an instant!

Always sad to see an old friend around...

Been nearly a year since I sold my Astra but Im still heartbroken over her... she was a beauty, and I put so many hours of work, blood, weat and tears into her... and I know the person I sold her to wont treat her anywhere near as good as I did and he's an awful driver who's probably going to write her off sooner or later (I nearly cried on the test drive, I was sat in the passenger seat and he was tailgating someone doing about 90 on the motorway, if I didnt need the money so badly I would probably have told him to bugger off Im not selling her to him!) :( Id buy her back in an instant too if I could... I love my freelander too, but I dont feel like Ive "bonded" with it anywhere near as much as my Astra, I dont know why... maybe just because I havent had to do any work to it yet and got a chance to get down and dirty and get to know it.

Or maybe Im just a saddo with abandonment issues, getting too attached to my cars! :D

I know deep down it would be a bad idea but I keep telling myself about the amount of work I put into it, and that I pretty much know all of the problems that are going to show themselves in the next few years, it will need a chassis and the bulkhead will need some work soon, it would be an aweful way to commute to work but I still miss it! That land rover was also part of what defined me at my last unit! It got more of a mention in my leaving speech than my f**k ups did!
