I posted this on here a few days ago and after a few choice questions from members on here, he removed the auction saying that he bought it like this so he was gonna check with the dvla if it's all ok

Now he is saying "I dearly loved building this landrover"

I feel a few more questions coming on:p:p:p

just sent him a snotty message asking who built it and which bit is from 1961?:D

This is the response I got,

"Good Morning, You must have missunderstood my explanation. This land Rover was indeed purchased as an Hybrid a good few years ago. With documentary evidence of its status and condition. A couple of years ago the land rover was finished to a much higher standard. This Land Rover has been running as an hybrid for a lot of years. You are missunderstanding new builds to already constructed vehicles, that were constructed a long time before curent legislation was introduced. I have had many kit cars that have succesefully carried the doner vehicle identification for more than 20 years but today would indeed not pass current regulative checks. Thanks, Take care, Martin "

Doesn't actually answer any questions, just sounds like bollocks to me.

I don't really see the point myself, if you are going to spend 20k building a landie/hybrid whatever, do you really need to save £200 a year on road tax?
