The question often comes up of replacement seats for a defender. Here's one idea that people might not have considered.

Yep, that most hideous of Fiat products, the Multipla. Nevertheless, it has 3 seats across the front, plus the middle seat has an integrated 3-point seatbelt and folds flat to form an armrest/cupholders.

Looks ideal for a truck cab IMO, and in a 110 you could use the rear seats as well- they're individually removable which (if you could get it to work in a Landy) would be useful.

If that's the case, it's a shame really. Looks like a practical arrangement that would suit a utilitarian sort of vehicle.

yep, having owned the other greatest vehicle on the road, seriously, they are different to the point of you love em or hate em, I loved mine :) they are also great to drive.

BUT, all 3 front seats are full sized, and you can comfortably have 3 adults up front. they wont fit in a fender.
Fender max width (which is the arches) 1790, multipla is 1870, and thats the body.

I don't like the exterior look of them, but inside they're brilliant. A great example of a manufacturer not getting stuck in the trap of "Everyone else does it this way, we've always done it this way, let's carry on" and coming up with something different that works.
