Hi All,
Thought I would post this for the benefit of all other LR owners. for the Full story veiw my thread in the Range Rover Forum.

An independant LR to avoid like the plague
Carman Country Vehicles
Forge Engineering Works
Ulcombe Kent.

Totally killed my car, a total usless garage who don't give a dam about customer service, and appear to know absolute nothing about Range Rover P38's. The only thing they are good at are presenting customers with bills when the work has not been completed.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Please everbody pass the word around :blabla: and AVOID! I would hate to see any LR owner go through what I have gone through with these cowboys

Have to say I bought a Defender from Carman Country Vehicles 18 months ago and couldn't really fault them.
Their vehicle description was accurate and realistic with the two slight dents (it's a Defender!) noted. Even though the asking price was very reasonable I was still able to negotiate an even better one.
They had no problems with me taking the Defender for an extended test drive and were also willing to open on a Sunday morning when I wanted to collect it.

After 5 months the power steering box developed too much play and was diagnosed as needing replacing. Rather than have me drive the 330 mile round trip back to them Carman allowed me to take it to a nearby garage for the box to be replaced and they picked up the whole bill.

All I can say is that if was looking for another they would be one of the first I'd check to see what they had to offer.

Despite all your scepticsm this was a genuine reply and have the full purchase details including advert, receipt of payment and all other applicable correspondance to back it up.

It may have been my first post however this will definitely be my last thanks to some of the intolerant a***holes who appear to inhabit this board.

wouldnt let it bother you, lots of sellers register on here and pretend to be a buyer saying how great a company is and most get the same result :D

DylanDog why not spam somewhere else, if you dont like the way lz works then there are plenty of other sites for you. Very convenient first post :rolleyes:

I must say Guys thanks for all your support. I just wanted to say I'm not putting Carman Country Vehicles down for the sake of 1 bad experience. They honsetly killed the EAS suspension on my Range Rover and despite all attempts were unable to correct their errors.
Their service adviser treated me like a lump of S**T and was only interested in taking cash from my pocket. I think what really annoyed me was on one occasion when I returned to the garage to collect my car and realised they had not corrected it. I refused to take it from them or pay for parts they supplied to correct their balls up these were parts that were not needed. The little S**T of a service adviser told me fine we are not doing any more work on your car, I replied see you in court and was made to walk over 3 miles in the dark down the narrow lanes of Kent nearly getting squashed by a bus, ansd to top it all the service adviser drove straight past me in a company sign written vehicle. How is that for customer service.
Went for a second opinion at a different independant LR specialist and was diagnosed straight away. The Cowboys had entered all the incorrrect height values on all for air springs. Never mind all done now and about to bill Carmans for my excess expenses.
They had my car for nearly 6 weeks!

Why not after the way they treated you - hopefully no-one else on here will have to endure that kind of service from them, thanks to your post.

Was only dildodawg who took offence and his first post too.

I dont spose you remember who you talked to?

Ive dealt with them for a while now and ive always found them pleasant and easy to deal with.

and before any one says anything i dont work there, ive just never had any bad experiences with them.
