am i a nutter?that is the phrase whirling round my head after my wife wrote our fiat off and i have bought a 51 feelander 87,000 on clock with fsh 1.8 petrol,leather seats fully loaded(after reading forum i now know it means probably loaded with faults!)i paid £1400 from a garage,if i want a 3 month warranty an extra £50,.i am not totally a landy virgin as i owned an early 1980,s landy 90.that made me grin a lot and i enjoyed the hands on experience so am i in for another spanner twirling experience it seems to be a love/hate relationshipwith freelanders going by the comments still its done now and i pick up next week i live 45 miles from garage going by the comments will i make it home?they cant be all that bad can they?cheers mark:doh:

I almost got one 2 years ago, turns out the one i was going to get was a real bad one.

well it looks like youve confirmed it! im a nutter lol good job ive got back up motor to use when the freelander shudders to a halt .ive always done things the hard way as ive found i have more fun and if you cant laugh in life, well........upwards and onwards!or at the side of road, whatever my friends looking in the future to get another series 3 to tinker with,i might not get laughed at so much,well ,apart from my wife.mark
 
has it had its head gasket done? and do you have breakdown? i had a diesel, had it for 9 months and it was on the road for 3 of them
