Alternator

Hi guys

hope you’re all well.

This is my first post here - Looking forward to getting involved.

Just this morning I’ve left my Freelander with a local garage as the alternator had packed in. He said he’d get back to me with an estimate but just wondering what you fellas would expect to be paying for a new one fitted?

Depends on engine, air con or not.
Update your profile with vehicle details, that helps.
For a TD4 (which I have done) with Air Con, budget £90 for alternator and around 2 hours labour,

Thanks mate, I will add my vehicle.

It’s an ‘06 2.0 Diesel engine with air con, yeah!

That sounds a lot better than I was worrying about. Appreciate the reply!

I didn't say what they would charge!! I estimated what they SHOULD charge!!!
