Alternatives to RAC

Just got my renewal from RAC today £198.99 for rescue, recovery and key return.
Any one recommend a good alternative with recovery and rescue from personal experience.
2011 Freelander 2 sd4.
I usually take one road trip each year, France, Switzerland and Italy taking holiday rescue and recovery insurance from travel company but a second option would be preferable but not critical.

AA.... they have or used to have more vans on the road...

Call the RAC and tell them that you don't wish to renew this year, they will ask why, tell them and you'll find that will be happy to reduce the renewal quote u have.
My wife did that a month ago and got a renewal at the price she paid last year, so happy with that as it was a bit less than that quoted on line for a new customer, plus because she stated she was unhappy with the service as she had to wait an hour and half beside the road a slight exaggeration, but they added an extra three months so 15 for the price of 12.

GEM, good price for the cover and I've had a good service from them in the past.

Im with RAC, Mine was £101 for At home, Breakdown and a second card for the wife

I just have breakdown cover with my insurance. They dispatch someone nearby to come and sort it out. Last guy they sent got me out of a bog so kudos to that dude.

ADAC €75 anywhere in Europe guaranteed.

Fantastic value for money, everything is subbed out and they literally grab the first contractor list closest to you and then get the best lead time from them.

Just check the cover you're getting. I went with the RAC because I couldn't find anyone else that would touch my SIII due to its age.

swinton do personal cover so its you that's covered not the car. so you can use it for any car that you are either driving or a passenger in.

they also do the type that covers the car not you.

well I could have if I knew that that was what they did.

never had rac cover, was with the aa for decades till they got too greedy

Got everything for me and the mrs on both cars for £70
