Well I couldn't find any threads on these by searching...

Who has one of these? >>>https://www.allisport.com/shop/performance-products/tuning-units/adjustable-electronic-tuning-unit-for-land-rover-discovery-td5-copy/

Are they any good? It's from a good place for parts, Allisport are as far as I know well respected so I would think this product does what it says.
But, who has one and are they as good as they seem? To me an adjustable tune unit is great because I love to change parts, so if I go and pay £300 for a map, I can't really change too much then but if I have a unit I can adjust when ever I want then, I can change anything I want and just readjust the tune if needs be! Sounds great! But also too good to be true...
I know a custom map or a stage 2 or 3 chip etc... will always be the best way to go, but what I want to know here is are these adjustable units good and can you really adjust the tune easily?

Cheers!!

i cant say but reading up does sound good to be true
have you ever looked into LPG systems .this way the system can be uninstalled and set up on any diesel engine

thats fair enough mate
i guess if your going to do it do correctly
not like me i have a BBQ bottle in the rear LOL
Haha nah I just spent ages messing with those LGP forklifts and I've always hated it.
I like diesel, but not only that I don't want major work, I just want to do some kool mods, make a little more power and then forget about it.
So this "Adjustable" unit seems appealing but very much too good to be true :(

petrol engines are different they can run on petrol or LPG only vise versa but not both together

a diesel engine cant not run on LPG alone..its called duel fuel systems

i installed my old mans powershot 2000 to his turbo diesel the powershot works and regulates with boost pressure

It's still something extra.

Anyway, I'm still trying to find info on these units, it seems nobody has one or nobody wants to talk about it lol.

hi

have u looked at the synergy tuning boxes , they have a very good reputation , ive used them , alas not on a TD5 so don’t know , have u tried posting in the discovery section, more people will see it there

just a thought

I can't say I have, and good idea I'll go over there now :)

the guy ron who owns the company synergy , i’ve always found very helpful , either by email or phone

see what the other guys say over in the discovery section , u will get a lot of honest opinions and always best to know before hand
