Alarming

Hi All,

An old one this..... My 300tdi M 94 has a strange thing happening. Three out of five times unlocking using the door lock the alarm goes off and you have to re lock and open and all is fine.

It did this when I bought it years ago and I remember doing something with the key in the lock to reset it. Trouble is i can not remember what to do?

Any ideas? I have no other sangs and the alarm functions as required apart from when using the key to open the door (never had a fob).

What's happening it the alarm ecu is detecting the voltage drop from the activation of the central locking, it sound like the gremlins ahve got into the system as there should be a delay in unlocking so not to detect the CL unlocking.

There is info somewhere in the forum where you have to carry out a reset/reprogram with the bonnet open and using the ign. switch all to be carried out in around 8 seconds.
You may find it or someone may repost it.

You can still get single button fobs and they are user propgrammable which is handy.
