alarm stopped working ???????

:welcome2:hi all , my alarm has decided to not work ??? . i have a 2000 v8 R/R . went out in it this morning and and when i came back the alarm wouldn't set ??? the fob has new batteries in it and has been working fine till today ,, i wonder if the temperature has anything to do with it ?? , it is 3 below zero at moment , everything else is working perfect with no readings on the dash .. would appreciate any advice ,cheers mozz:(:confused::confused::confused:

on the plus side your battery won't be hammered:),however it is a bit of a worry,not sure where you would look for that one,at least it is a definite fault and not intermittent,could be a trip to the stealer.
 
Check your fuse box under the bonnet look at relay no 7 and smell it to see if there is any burning also check the connection from the battery to the fuse box and also the becm connections under the box - an alarm fault is usually driven by the becm /lock actuators which in turn usually comes from the fuse box lots of usually so have a look as a start also Mozz put in your location someone might be near who can help
 
hi all, thanks to roddy and sandy for your imput . fortunately went out late last night and after running motor round the block the alarm reset when i tried it ,so a result , i'm sure the temperature must interfere but will monitor it closely and will check all fuses when it stops snowing . cheers all ,mozz:)
