Hi all,
I have searched through the threads and messages, athough have come close, but the problem i have with my '97 Tdi Disco hasnt been covered.
have a two button fob. new battery fitted, 2nd fob also tried.
Alarm on.... takes anything between 20 and 30 attempts with fob to switch alarm off and open the doors.
sometimes door unlocks/alarm disarms with only 1 press of fob between 10ft and 2ft from car.
once open / off, engine will start ok.
leave for immobiliser to switch in as key not in ignition, try key in ignition lock, immobiliser active, hence engine wont start... understanable,
try fob to deactivate immobiliser, again back to square 1 with the MANY attempts on pressing fob.
i can lock driver door with key, alarm / immobiliser sets.
use key to unlock door, alarm goes off.
can it be associated with this "Spider" problem ?
Alarm receiver unit ?
