Alarm going off at a friends house but not at home

Ok I need some help here, I am staying at a friends house in berkshire and on four separate times today neighbours have called to say the lights are flashing on my 1998 p38 after the first instance I disconnected the klaxon. I have had no issues with the alarm when parked on my drive, then I remembered that the last time I stayed here for a couple days the battery went flat putting 2 and 2 together I wonder if the alarm was going off then causing the battery to go flat.
There are no faults coming up in message centre and no info on any alarm triggers, I do have issues with the front door motors but as this has been the case since owning the Range Rover don't think it is related, I have been using the key to lock and unlock the drivers door and have not been using super lock. Any ideas

Old type rf receiver?? Maybe his wifi or other frequency gizmos are mucking you Rangey about.

I had this problem with mine! If I parked it at my house the battery would be dead within a day! The alarm kept going off when @ at work even when I got home the fob wouldn't shut it up! However if I park it at my mrs mums (or anywhere else) it's absolutely fine, battery hasn't gone flat even when away for 2 weeks on holiday! Alarm hasn't gone off either! Was the wifi playing with it I'm sure! Where it stays now, there is no wifi from loads of houses killing it

Not cheap tho, eBay bits n bobs I wouldn't trust! Rather go to LR and get the real deal

Thanks all. Where my friend lives there is no driveway but allocated parking will move it to the street and see if that makes a difference, in the allocated parking area it is surrounded by terraced houses on three sides so wifi could be the key. any other fixes other than parking elswhere?

YES, get a new rf receiver if the old one is on its way out. It'll end up draining your battery and burning the lock motors out.

Disconnect antenna - blue cable

Would disconnecting the antenna connection from th rf receiver help whilst your at your mates house, as a temporary measure.

+ 1. And get close to rear windows when using fob.

Door motors already failed so disconnecting blue wire (from where?) will not inconvenience me any more than I am already

The rf receiver is in the boot under the plastic panel where the button to put your seats down is. It's a little box with a couple of cable going into it.

I moved mine onto the street it help a little bit with the respect the batt wasn't flat within 24 hrs! Out the front it will last 2days

Yep. On drivers side; blue cable.

I disconnected mine tho, make no difference at all. Car was still flat as a pancake after a day

Duff battery. Best to get a new (decent size/power) one to avoid other horrible things happening.

I bought a brand new 1, bought the best one for it. Put it on everything was fine and dandy!...............2 days later........flat!!!!! Never leaving it at mine again! I'm moving house soon tho! I want my car where I can see it!

P38 owners are fantastic, but never heard of one selling his house to stop his battery going flat!!

Ran out of options was easy decision for me. Took abit of work with the mrs tho :fighting:

You guys are all great, one thing you can be sure of is that I will not be moving house I'm on my third wife already!!! but I will be leaving the Range Rover on a farm tomorrow for a few days so I will reconnect the klaxon and see if we have a problem with the pigs and sheep having a sleepless night.
