Hi guys

well after haveing my p38 dse for about a year and 23k miles i had mahor problems last week with it not starting, i just fixed that and today an air spring popped and it sank in one corner

What i need to know is where is the cheapest place to buy them??

Island 4x4 can do a pair of rears for £115 and that seems good

Or does anyone know of any suppliers local to east london or essex to save me going to far for them or getting them posted

cheers again:)

Buy a complete set from Island 4x4 and change all 4, no point in doing half a job and piece of mind the other are ok.

Dunlop airbags are oem fitment parts.

I doubt you'll get a set or pairs cheaper than Island 4x4.

I agree, but when i bought the car one of the fronts was leaking so before i collected the car the previous owner got a pair of fronts put on but he would not do the rears, so it was kind of a time bomb for the rears, they lasted a year though

hi i just changed one on mine and was pleasently suprised how easy if you change just the rubber, which incidently is the same part no as classic,
but the top and bottom are different,
basically what i did was jack it up as high as possible and put an axle stand uder it, lower the jack so the axle hangs, using a junior hacksaw i cut th scrap bag in half, this made it easy to remove the lower half of its pedestle with a little brute force!
then i cut away as much of the top half as possible till all that was left was the upper ring, using a narrow wood chisel i carefully cut the upper ring in half and removed it.
while the bag was off i cleaned and inspected the pedestals for pitting but mine were o.k.
although mines a p38 i had a classic bag spare and found the rubber is the same part no but the pedestles are different, i stretched the bag to full length and lubricated the top and bottm lip edges with baby oil (stop laughing) and with a bit of brute force pushed it upwards onto the upper pedestal, then i carefully lined it up and pushed it onto the lower one.
once the air built up th bag simply popped itself firmly into place.
i was dreading this job but i did it in an hour!! cheers

If one has gone-fair bet that the others are not far behind. Island are the best deal-free delivery on a set of 4. Get a set of spring retaining clips whilst your at it. Put one new spring on and you may have to recalibrate the height which could cost you the price of another spring anyway.

Hi !
I just wanna tell you I know all about that: just my kind off luck........
But to avoid moore of that, change all 4, becourse it is something that got worn out after many miles or after bad cleaning of them after driving offroad (to do so put the car in the higest level and use a water hoose and get all the dirt of them so that the dirt dont wearn them faster).
And you everyone can change them , it took me and my brother 1 hour to change akk 4 and none off us had touch air suspension before. So it is easy!'
I baught mine here LAND ROVER Air Suspension Parts - Range Rover 1995-2002 (4.0 and 4.6) P38A
But that was when the dollar was very cheap, and i choose the 2.nd generation, that is the same as are in the disco 3. So that is better then the normal one.
And don`t do as i did drive around with it like you have it now, becourse it will go in a emergency program and then you have to go to a LR dealer to get that reset.
