Hi all, one of the wires going to the air temp. sensor connector broke the other day & as it was so close to the connector it didn't leave me enough to repair it, I managed to get a replacement connector with plenty of wire from a Disco injector loom & solder that on. My question is will it make a difference as the new wiring has 18 strands & the existing loom only has seven? See pics. Thanks in advance

The answer is short.
No. It won't make any difference.

It actually doesn't make any difference if the sensor is disconnected, so a change in wire gauge isn't going to make any difference either.
