Air Suspension

Hi again,

When I start my car every morning or after stopping for about an hour or so my suspension seems to go up. is this normal and some sort of settling, or do I have a leak? it only seems to be the front.

I thought that the car was meant to self level and maintain its parked ride height. this car is too clever by half.

Depends where you park it really i park mine on a slopped drive and every morning when i go out to mine the rear end is higher than the front just because of how i park it, doesnt sound like anything out of the norm to be honest, you only have a problem when it doesnt go up or down lol

More importantly, does the height indicator do anything, ie is it changing from access height to normal or motorway height?

If not then it is just the suspension levelling itself out after going into a kind of stasis after parking, stopping for a period of time.

As RED said below it is only when it oesn't move you have an issue

Thanks for the information,

The car does change height between each mode and i often take her off road so set the height for that.

I just thought that when I parked it on a flat even surface in normal ride height it was meant to stay there overnight, it is just the front end that seems to change.

Is it the front go's up or the back go's down slightly?

If you are parking on the level and the front end is going down to me this suggests you have a leak. Have you checked the front air springs? I had a similar problem with mine where the back end went down went parked a while on the level. Having replaced the air springs it is now fine.

Emlotte, how much does the vehicle lower itself by, does it depend on how long you leave it, ie: time/lower ratio???
