One of the air bags went on discovery today, not sure weather to get new air bags cos its best to change both isn't it??? So wouldn't mind doing away with it for springs, how much is a conversion roughly and is it a big job swapping it over... Can anyone help.

both is best but you can manage with just changing the leaking one if sticking with air ,get a genuine one ,if you push collet in pipe should pull out and a little fairy liquid when refitting

only if your removing/replacing height sensor ,for the air bag just support axle and chassis seperately ,if you jack chassis body up as high as possible and let axle down you can then drill a little hole in the bag to let pressure go ,you will more than likely need 2 new clips for the top ,bottom twist of with a 1/4 of a turn

stay on air if seven seater might find insurance a nightmare if you put it on springs. Make sure you get clips for bags as well, it is a **** easy job u don't even have to take wheel off just jack chassis. Ther again it's easy if you haven't got sausage fingers like mine. Had to do a bit of messing about to get it to inflate but took me twenty minutes, nosey neighbour to change a side. About 80 quid a bag and couple of quid for clips they came with instructions. Good luck
