I desperately need to calibrate my suspension on a lr322 2003 Range Rover .I have a diagnostic tool it’s a snap on ethos .The car is sitting to high and won’t allow me to enter in the heights from the wheels as the parameters are too high and I have already burst an air bag.Can anyone talk me through the proper procedure before I give up on life.Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks for your reply rangeroller I did see their post and it’s very helpful although he states that you have to use certain diagnostic tools for certain lr 322’s.I managed this afternoon to get it back down from the moon and it’s sitting quite acceptable which I will leave for the moment at least it’s drivable. Thanks again it’s much appreciated.

You also have to take wheel size into consideration
I found this but detail is hard to make out

Thanks for your reply and yes it’s hard to make out but I was really needing the process to get to these sizes,it doesn’t seem to work by measuring the size from the bottom of the rim to the wheel arch or I’m doing something wrong also I’m using a snap on tool whether that’s not the correct one I don’t know...thanks anyway it appreciated.

@Alistair phillips What I've found from Ant , "On the L322, when entering the calibration process, the vehicle raises to a datum height......you then measure the height of the vehicle as indicated on the calibration information (for the All Comms it is bottom of wheel rim to middle of wheel arch) and put this into the software. The ECU knows the datum position as this is hardwired into the ECU, it then works out what height the vehicle is at from the measurements you have provided....the ECU then extrapolates the various ride heights from this information - the rest is done automatically".
He also has a numbers diagram somewhere on here

I wish it was this easy mate, when I put the diagnostic to the car it does not go the the ultimate height I think I will have to try another tool that would carry out this procedure that you mention then it would be an easy set up.Thanks bud much appreciated.

That's what annoys me with the various tools, why don't they all just use the centre of the wheel for the measurements which would make the wheel size irrelevant.

Also another forum member had problems calibrating with a Snapon tool.

IMO it should go to a standard height rather than offroad.

I knew snapon had been mentioned in recent history, but couldn't remember if it was because it did, or didn't , work

GR is right other than the height settings for the sensors there’s is a calibration setting. sometimes people use it to try and higher the overall height as this effects all levels.

The pressure relief valve should kick in before they blow so somethings been tampered with I reckon
